Office 365 Exchange Online | Forensics
Exchange Online offers comprehensive email auditing features, with log retention. If you are needing an email forensics investigation, then Office 365 is a recommended place for your email system. Microsoft are constantly improving the features available within their cloud systems. Using a more expensive Office 365 license such as E5 will provide the maximum email forensic related features.
If a customer is not using E5 licenses, then some of the extra features can be accessed by assigning E5 licenses just to the admin people.
A regular review of the audit features and log retention is recommended within your Office 365 Tenant. This will ensure you have as much log details as possible for any investigation carried out by an email forensic expert.
